Eating white rice is linked to Type 2 diabetes, according to a recent study. White rice has a higher glycaemic index than brown rice, and is what's left when brown rice is stripped of most of its fibre, vitamins and minerals. Eating brown rice is associated with a lower risk of diabetes.
