Mangere Family Doctors is an integrated family health centre, offering both accident and medical and GP services seven days a week. Our friendly reception staff will soon make you comfortable in our spacious waiting room, and specialised nursing staff work with our doctors to provide a quality service and provide health promotion clinics. We are now endorsed against ACC Standards for Accident & Medical centres, and RNZCGP 'Cornerstone' quality approved as a general practice.

Pharmacy, as well now as X-ray and physio are available onsite at our practice.

We are part of Alliance Health + PHO. This allows us to increase the range of services we can offer our enrolled patients, and to reduce our fees for adult patients. Ministry of Health funding for health care in New Zealand comes via Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) to our clinic. Funded health services are available ONLY to enrolled patients. Please check with reception that we have your correct details and you are enrolled with our clinic.

Cervical smear clinics are held three times a week and are free to enrolled patients. All of our nursing staff are trained and certified for this.

weekend service

Our centre is endorsed by ACC auditors as an accident and medical centre. This means that on weekends and public holidays, emergency and urgent walk-in patients take priority.

If you would like to see your regular GP for non-urgent or non-acute health concerns, please make an appointment during our normal weekday hours.

youth health clinics

Free health clinics for enrolled patients aged between 14 and 18 years have recently started. This is a free appointment to do a general health check-up for you.
The check will include blood pressure, weight, vision, hearing, depression screening, a blood test if required and any other concerns you may have. These clinics are being run by Dr Monica Nua and Dr L’Ondine Tukuitonga.

As part of this, we will also be running a Weight Loss Programme. If you are interested please register your name and contact details with Lana at Mangere Family Doctors.

immigration medicals

We are now offering an all-in-one package for immigration medical examinations. Patients can have their medical check-up, blood tests and chest x-rays all done here at Mangere Family Doctors at a competitive price.

You pay only one fee at the time of your appointment which covers the cost of all three services. This will be much more convenient if you need an immigration medical as it will remove the need to travel between the doctor, blood lab and x-ray. It will also result in a quicker turn around time for the completion of NZ Immigration Service forms.

We aim to expand this in the near future with provision for online application processing, potentially speeding the process further.
