after hours service
Our normal clinic opening hours are listed above. If you need emergency medical care when our practice is closed, please call 111 for an ambulance.
If it is not an emergency, then just call your clinic number as listed below.
Your call will be taken by a New Zealand registered triage nurse, who will assess your needs, offer advice or arrange immediate assistance. This may range from calling an ambulance, to advising a visit to the after-hours, to suggestions for how to care for yourself at home.
This service is available all night, on weekends and public holidays, and any time the practice is closed including Christmas Day. The nurses are experienced, specially trained and are in New Zealand. They will assist you and give appropriate help and advice, including referral to your on-call GP (if applicable) clinic, hospital, ambulance or any available after-hours facility in your area.
So if someone is not feeling well in the middle of the night, don't hesitate to call our number for free advice.
A report of your enquiry will be sent to your doctor. Radius Medical and the DHB are pleased to provide this free service as part of our practice policy to offer the best possible health care for our patients.
