We warmly welcome new patients. Enrolling with us allows us to offer you better health care with services such as immunisation and smear recalls along with educational clinics for asthma and diabetes.

Our Health Centre is home to a range of other health professionals too.

We are delighted to introduce Dr Stijn de Ruijter, who has joined our practice.

Stijn is an experienced GP from The Netherlands, and we welcome him to our beautiful town. He has a special interest in minor surgery and trauma care, and enjoys the mixture of clinical work that is provided by general practice and likes taking time with his patients and their relatives.

“We have chosen to move to New Zealand because its people are known overseas for their hospitality and the country is so beautiful”, says Stijn.
“The health care system is comparable to the Dutch system and some predecessors of ours were very enthusiastic about their experiences.”
Stijn will be working longer term with Radius Medical, Whakatane. He brings general practice experience and an interest in minor surgery and trauma care to Whakatane. He enjoys the mixture of clinical work provided by general practice.
“We are looking forward to living in a safe, green and spacious environment with our two kids”, said Stijn. “We, as a family, would love to make a contribution to New Zealand society in return.”
