Often your GP will request some tests if there is a clinical concern. Most test results will take 1 - 2 working days, while some specialised tests will take up to three weeks. While we are not able to discuss your results over the phone, you are welcome to call us to check whether your results have been received.
- The result of your test will be reviewed by your doctor
- If there is a concern or follow up is needed, you will be contacted, either by mail or phone
- If the result is normal, you may not be contacted
- If you wish to discuss the results, please make an appointment to see your doctor
If you are concerned about your results please phone the practice on 354 7737, option 2, and talk to our practice nurse. If your doctor does order tests, please arrange to have them as soon as possible, to minimise delays and risk to your health. If for any reason you choose not to have the test, please let the practice nurse know as soon as possible.
