Nurse clinics

Our specialised practice nurses run clinics for people with continuing or chronic health needs, and for health screening. These clinics are currently funded by the HB PHO, and are provided for patients free of charge. Clinics are available Mondays 1.30 - 4.30pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8am - 12pm. Please call for an appointment. 

Diabetes clinic
  • The nurse-led Diabetes Clinic at The Doctors, Greenmeadows aims to ensure optimal diabetic control to help prevent diabetic complications. We offer diabetic education, reviewing of recent blood test results lifestyle review, motivation and goal planning in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
Women's Health Clinic
  • The clinic is led by qualified smear taker nurses and our aim is to offer cervical smears under the Cervical Screening Programme guidelines. We offer 30 minute appointments in a relaxed, comfortable, private environment where a range of women's health issues can be discussed. 
Smoking Cessation Clinic
  • The Smoking Cessation (Stop Smoking) clinic is led by a qualified, supportive smoking cessation nurse. We offer advice and support on how to stop smoking, and government subsidised nicotine replacement patches and gum in a friendly, relaxed and supporting environment.
Other nurse specialty clinics
  • We also offer a liquid nitrogen skin clinic on Tuesdays, 8.30am - 12 noon. See The Doctors, Napier for other clinics available to our enrolled patients.
