As a group we are committed to continually improving the quality of our health care and our service to you, our patients. See the information below on the formal quality accreditation programmes we are part of, and how you can let us know if you think we can do better.

Accreditation

We are committed to excellence in primary health care. Your practice team is backed up by dedicated quality advisors so patients can be assured of the best possible health care. Most medical practices in our group are independently audited for quality, under either the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioner's 'Cornerstone' scheme, or to meet Level 2 Accident and Medical Clinic standards.

Privacy

We take seriously your personal privacy and the confidentiality of all your health information. When you enrol with a practice your medical record is held with that practice. Information from your medical file will not be disclosed to anyone else without your knowledge and approval. As part of our agreement with the PHO which helps fund your care, they have access to non-identifiable information for statistical uses.  When you sign your enrolment form, you give your approval for this.

Please be aware that signing approval for an insurance company or other party to obtain information will allow them to get medical information about you from your medical record.

Comments & complaints

We strive to provide our patients with the best possible care and treatment, and welcome any opportunities to improve our service. If you have suggestions which could help us, or if you have been unhappy with the service you have received, we would like to hear from you.

A suggestions box is available at reception in most centres, if you would like to make a comment or suggestion in relation to the service we provide. Or just tell us! We welcome your feedback, and you are welcome to use our online feedback form. Our group process and suggested procedures for making complaints are below.
